Been digging through Metal Slug X lately and finally managed to nail down a reliable infinite credits cheat using Cheat Engine. Works perfectly with the latest M.A.M.E. build.
Here's the step-by-step:
1. Open M.A.M.E. and load Metal Slug X.
2. Launch Cheat Engine.
3. Select the M.A.M.E. process.
4. Do an initial scan for the number of credits (usually starts at 3 or 5).
5. Spend a credit in the game.
6. In Cheat Engine, scan for the new number of credits.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you narrow down the address.
8. Once you've found the correct address, change the value to 99 or something similarly high.
9. Freeze the address in Cheat Engine.
