just got the following errore loading Mustache Boy (rom name: mustache):

mustache.xml(5): error parsing cheat expression "maincpu.pb@F064=09" (invalid me
mory name).

Works perfectly fine here with a 0.141 MAME build and the 0.141 Cheat Database.
Your likely using another MAME version (I'd say somewhere in 0.127-0.129), so you need a database to match that version.. or simply upgrade your MAME.

I have login issues with the cheat.retrogames.com FTP server so I've been unable to update the cheat page or the cheat files.

Hi I just updated to MAMEUI64 0.144 and I DL the 0.144 cheat file, but I cannot get it to function at all. None of my games even show the Tab menu option to activate cheats. I have verified the file's location and the settings on my Default Game Options menu, but still no luck. Please Help! What am I doing wrong?

I think I found a bug in the cheat code "Select Starting Course" in the game "Space Position". It seems that this cheat code has no effect.

Good spot, thanks was unnoticed long time problem in the conversion from .dat to .xml - fixed. Same problem existed in mp_sonic+, so fixed them too.

I'm pretty sure I found another bug. The "Infinite Lives" cheat code for the arcade game "Demon" does not work.

Another possible bug:

The game "No Man's Land" cheat code "Shells again quickly" does not work properly. You are not able to shoot once this code is enabled.

I am running MAMEUI64 0.144 and I am trying to find a working cheat file for Gauntlet: Dark Legacy; the only cheats available currently are an infinite energy code and an infinite keys code; Does anyone know of any more?

An error occurs with gprider, gprideru, and new clone gpriderj (copied the data from the parent for a test run) when run that you can read when you exit MAME.

Thanks for the report, it'll be fixed in the next release. In the meantime you can replace all sub. with subcpu. to make it work. It was caused by a change in the name of the memory area which also affected the loffire sets.

Thanks - finally getting round to these.

Odd one that, devs must have changed the ROM at some point. Anyway, I've made new data area cheats for Infinite Lives to replace the broken ROM cheats.

Another possible bug:

The game "No Man's Land" cheat code "Shells again quickly" does not work properly. You are not able to shoot once this code is enabled.

That one's definitely NOT a bug though, the cheat collection does NOT contain such a cheat. I think you'll find the "Shells again quickly" cheat is from Wayder's cheat collection.

However, I'll add a Rapid Fire cheat for the next release.

I found another bug with the games Paperboy and ABP - All Points Bulletin. When loading the game, a parse error is displayed. But when cheats are disabled, the error no longer appears.

Thanks for the report, though in all fairness it's not a bug as the cheat collection is for MAME 0.147 and if you use it with MAME 0.147 there is no problem ; the soundcpu was changed to audiocpu AFTER the 0.147 release ( either in the 0.147 update cycle, 0.148 or the 0.148 update cycle ) which took place after the cheat collection release. The region change was picked up in early february and the next cheat collection release won't have the problem which also affects 720 degrees.
